#teamseas The Mediterranean Sea is Dying @MrBeast @Mark Rober Call For S...

I got a video email from @MrBeast and @Mark Rober asking me if I wanted to make a video on pollution in the ocean. I have been a scuba diver for many years and have dived in several oceans but never in the Med. On a trip to Lebanon in August 2016 I went snorkeling in the Mediterranean Sea and was shocked by what I saw. It's not the kind of footage that I usually share because I'm sure people are sick to death of hearing about the state we have made of this unique planet we call earth. Well here is a chance to make a change and try to put things right or at least make a start. That is why I'm showing you this video. I have seen the environmental damage with my own eyes and unless you are deliberately ignoring it you've seen it too. The sea bed was completely dead and barren except for dead sea weed that was being blown in from the sea. There were 1,000's of tiny fish that had got protection from a fine mesh shark net that was covering the entrance to the small bay I was swimming in. With no predators to control their numbers the little fish population boomed and they had stripped out all the vegetation in the bay. It's similar to what we see in other environments when a keystone animal is removed. The environment collapses. As in the Serengeti and Yellowstone National Park examples. It can be changed but it is going to need a lot of effort and a long term commitment to sort this mess out that we have all contributed to and created. There are those naysayers that feel that we cannot do anything it is such an awful mess but you would be surprised what a few million committed people can do with the right idea. If you would like to get involved with the #teamseas project here are the details. Share these link's with your friends or anyone you think might have a stake in the future. Canon EF 75-300mm Zoom Lens Time Value Shutter Priority Mode

To get pin sharp images every time do this. Set your camera to Time Value (TV on a Canon camera) or Shutter Priority on all other makes of DSLR or Mirrorless camera. Set the shutter speed to the same length as the lens or more. For example. With this 75-300mm lens you can set the shutter speed to 1/800th of a second or 1/1000th of a second and you will get sharp focus images. Using the time value or shutter priority mode means that you do not have to think about apeture or ISO settings leaving you free to work on the composition of the photograph which is especially useful when photographing fast moving subjects like sports or wildlife. This video was made as an addendum to my previous video on this lens. I had kind of figured out that the shutter speed was important when shooting some wildlife photos and videos.

I Bought The Cheapest Soldering Iron Kit On Amazon

I wanted to be ready to solder up any issues that I found in an electric guitar that I bought from a pawn shop (a Squier Stratocaster) but didn't want to spend a fortune on a soldering kit. I don't remember if I ever soldered anything in the past so this was a bit of an experiment and very simple to do. If I can solder anyone can literally within seconds of opening the kit I was soldering. It is really easy to do. This is a great kit for anyone that wants to do some things around the house that requires soldering. I practiced on a broken lamp switch and it worked fine as you can see in the video. If you are into electronics, computers and electric guitars then at some point you will need a soldering iron. I had a lot of fun with it and even managed to burn my finger tip lol Below are links to the cheapest soldering iron kit on Amazon for both the USA and UK. What Is A Riff Learn How To Riff In 2 Minutes

The key to a memorable or catchy song is the riff. You can hear just a section of the riff to know exactly what the song is. What is a riff? In its simplest form it is a collection of notes played off of a couple of chords that makes up a distrinctive musical phrase. In classical music it would be considered a motiv. Think of Beethovens Fifth. In Jazz Blues Country Pop and Rock it is often the riff that people remember and is used to convey the 'feel' of the song. Happy sad or dramatic. Riffs are often used in 'call and response' musical passages. The first part of the riff asks a question and the second part of the riff answers the question. To create a brand new riff find two open chords and play the notes off of the two chords. When you have found something that you like you can then start to embelish the riff with slides, slurs, hammer on's, hammer offs and pull offs. Riffs can be simple or extremely complex. What you can come up with using your own imagination is limitless.

Secrets Revealed What Makes This 1996 Squier Standard Stratocaster Sound...

Since finding this Squier Standard Stratocaster by Fender built in Taiwan in 1996 I've been itching to do a teardown to find out as much as I could about it because it sounds amazing.

This video was a lot of fun to make and turned into a little bit of a detective story tracing what and where all the components had come from.

Some are still a mystery? That's where you come in. Maybe you can help me identify where something has come from?
Guitar nerds welcome.

There were a few surprises when I took it apart but it explains why this particular Strat sounds so good.

This guitar was made in 1996 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Stratocaster. The neck was made by Atlansia and it was this neck that sold me on the guitar as soon as I held it.

It is just so comfortable and has proven to be my go to guitar for daily practice. I can play it for hours and not get fatigued or hand cramps just bliss.
